ABOUT PLANETLINK (OTCBB: PLKC)

PlanetLink Communications is a leading retailer of satellite-enabled technology products.  Its consumer product mix includes satellite television services (such as DISH Network) and satellite-based, high-speed Internet access through its partner Starband.

In July of 2000, PlanetLink engaged the services of Eagle Research, a division of Cox Enterprises, to provide market research on the emerging satellite technology industry. The market research identified Global Positioning System (GPS) technology as an emerging consumer category.  As a result PlanetLink expanded its business strategy to focus on new products using GPS and satellite-enabled technology.

The cornerstone of the new business strategy is the development of proprietary products based on Global Positioning System technology including personal tracking devices, child safety devices and other satellite-enabled security systems.

PlanetLink is now expanding its retail operations through a franchising model and in 2003 expects to launch stores in major retail shopping malls in Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina and South Carolina.  PlanetLink plans to expand nationwide becoming the first national, independent retail chain in the satellite-enabled products niche.  Plans are underway to develop a nationwide network of installation and customer support centers to back its retail operations. 

PlanetLink's new stores offer its full suite of communications products and services.

The retail stores showcase satellite entertainment systems and satellite high speed Internet access.  The Company expects to launch its first GPS tracking products in the next few months under the brand name PlaneTrak. 

The PlaneTrak products include:

• PARENTRAK: Designed to keep us in touch with frail and aging parents who have Alzheimer Disease. Never lose a loved one again because of mental dementia.

• GUARDIAN: For the business executive on the go, especially internationally, the GUARDIAN gives you peace of mind anywhere in the world.
• PROTECTOR: Unique, location safety device, designed to deliver panic signal and identify location when danger is near, with 2-way audio track to listen to the level of danger. 


These proprietary products should be in high demand and should contribute to substantial revenue increases for PlanetLink.  PlanetLink also plans to establish a commercial sales division that will coincide with EchoStar's release of several new products that will enhance the installation and delivery of satellite television to commercial customers, such as hotel chains, condominium associations, small businesses, and private business establishments.

THE GPS MARKET

The primary focus at PlanetLink is its Global Positioning System (GPS) products. It is a complex technology. Navigating and positioning are crucial to so many activities and yet the process has always been quite cumbersome. Over the years, all kinds of technologies have tried to simplify the task, but every one has had some disadvantage. Finally, the U.S. Department of Defense decided that the military had to have an extremely precise form of worldwide positioning. And fortunately they had the kind of money ($12 billion) it took to build something really effective. The result is the Global Positioning System, a system that has changed communications and navigation forever.

Perhaps the most important use of GPS by PlanetLink is tracking people. What mother or father wouldn't want the ability to locate their child by simply logging onto the Internet and identifying the child's location using GPS.

ATLANTA, Dec. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- PlanetLink  Communications (OTC Bulletin Board: PLKC) announced today that for the nine-month period ended September 30, 2002, its revenues increased by 102% to $850,000, compared to  revenues of $419,000 for the comparable period last year. The increase in revenue was primarily attributable to accelerated sales of EchoStar DISH Network satellite TV systems at PlanetLink's retail locations. 

"Sales of Satellite TV systems have remained strong in our stores in 2002, despite many contrary economic indicators," said M. Dewey Bain, president of PlanetLink Communications. "We are looking for continued revenue growth in 2003 from the opening of five new PlanetLink stores in rapidly growing Southeastern markets. In addition, we look for additional sales growth after the launch of our retail store franchise program on a national basis in 2003." 

For the nine months ended September 30, 2002, the company reported a net loss of $672,000, or ($0.15) per share, compared to a net loss of $248,000, or ($0.07) per share for the comparable period last year.  The increase in net loss was primarily due to the increase in operating expenses related to the company's expansion plan.

Kayode A. Aladesuyi
     Chairman/CEO 
Mr. Aladesuyi is the founder of PlanetLink. Prior to founding PlanetLink, Mr. Aladesuyi formed Vision Records Atlanta, a pioneering music production company. Mr. Aladesuyi also produced programming for UPN and the WB networks when he founded Loud Entertainment Group. In 1994 Mr Aladesuyi was the principle of Associated Management and Financial Services, a tax and financial planning firm. Mr. Aladesuyi graduated from Alabama Sate University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1985. 

M. Dewey Bain
    President
Prior to PlanetLink, Mr. Bain was the principal partner of Independent Trust Administrators. Mr. Bain was a trial attorney for the Texas Department Of Public Welfare and the City of San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Bain also served in the Judge Advocate General's Corp (J.A.G.) of the United States Army Reserves for ten years. Mr. Bain graduated from David Lipscomb College in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Texas in 1975.
