Dear Readers,
Well, it’s about time!!! Traders grabbed the bear by the
hair today, and ran like the bulls of what seems like so long
ago. A 300+ point rally is
a very nice way to cap a week, especially on the heels of a 247
point rise on Thursday. We’re hoping it’s a harbinger of
things to come.
Before we delve into a couple of great CEO Access audio interviews,
we thought we’d ask our Head Writer, Dennis Askew, to summarize
this outstanding trading day. If you just can’t wait to

The Market Wrap today is forged by good economic news that overpowered
the bad. The markets opened strong on news of the Producer
Price Index and U.S. wholesale prices -and some retail sales-
rising last month, but at a rate commensurate with expectations.
While the University of Michigan's preliminary October consumer
sentiment index fell sharply to 80.4 from 86.1 in September, many
investors shrugged off the report and covered short positions,
lending support to the two-day surge. Bargain hunters didn't
want to be caught off guard in a major rally, leading to a trading
day of huge volumes and upward trends on all the major indexes.
Monday and Tuesday should give us some indication as to whether
or not the rally is sustainable.
