14
Month Price Trail For APIEF
Market
Wrap
February 20,
2002
The
markets opened in positive terrain today on the latest
economic data that shows inflation is in check. While
consumer prices climbed in January for the first time
since September (due to energy costs) today's Commerce
Department report implied that a gradually recovering
economy could nudge consumer prices higher, but that
it wasn't likely. The Consumer Price Index, the most
widely used inflation gauge, gained 0.2% last month,
slightly below Wall Street economists' forecasts for
a 0.3% increase. Low inflation means cheap prices
for consumers, which is a consumer incentive to go shopping.
The DOW gained 196 points to close at 9,941 and the
NASDAQ gained 24 points to close at 1,775.

About eCom eCom.com, Inc.
eCom
eCom's breakthrough product, DryIce TDE™, will bring
the best security and image compaction available to
those who store and transfer pictures via computers.
eCom eCom's first application using TDE, myPicZip™,
will shrink virtually unlimited galleries of photos
to eliminate the restraints on storage capability with
little or no degradation in quality. The recent surge
in popularity of digital cameras has increased the demand
for software technology, such as myPicZip™, that enables
fast transmission, sending high quality pictures in
small, quick files. It is the compaction and security
elements of this technology that sets DryIce TDE™ apart
from every compression-type software. eCom eCom’s
COMPACTION technology encodes and shrinks images
to make them smaller, achieving dramatically increased
compression ratios (as much as 40 times greater) while
preserving all of the image detail and quality.

Selects
Hall of Fame Candidate
to Pitch myPicZip |

2/20/2002

PALM
BEACH GARDENS, Fla., Feb 20, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE)
-- Today eCom eCom.com, Inc. (ECEC) announced that former
Major League Baseball All-Star pitcher and Hall of Fame
candidate Jeff Reardon has been retained to assist with
the marketing of the company's "photo shrink" software
utility, myPicZip(TM). Reardon's photograph will be
placed on the product and used for advertising purposes.
During
his 16-year Major League career, Jeff Reardon's talent
for silencing the bats of opposing players earned him
the nickname, "The Terminator." A four-time All-Star,
Reardon broke Rollie Finger's all-time record of 341
saves, a record that had stood for 15 years. He retired
with 367 saves and is now 4th on the all-time save list.
Named the 1987 Team Most Valuable Player of the year
of the Minnesota Twins' first World Series Championship,
Reardon was on the mound to clinch the Western Division
Championship, the American League Championship Series
and the 7th game of the World Series. Reardon was the
"Rolaids Reliever of the Decade" for the 1980's.
"Jeff
is a great addition to our team," said eCom eCom CEO
David Panaia. "The strength, speed and reliability that
he brought to the mound are symbolic of the unique qualities
of myPicZip(TM)."
myPicZip(TM)
is a powerful software utility that dramatically reduces
the file size of photographic images to boost computer
storage capabilities without diminishing the reliability
or speed of computer performance. The small file size
enables speedy transmission of photos to friends and
family. myPicZip(TM) is the first consumer product built
around the company's DryIce(TM) software and based on
Temporal Differential Encoding (TDE) compaction technology.
TDE's unique encoding algorithm reformats and reduces
images to ratios previously unattainable without significant
destruction of image detail.
Pending
release of the final consumer version of the product,
eCom eCom has provided a media preview of myPicZip(TM)
through download from http://www.mypiczip.com.
