Global Ecology Corporation Completes Acquisition and Successful Testing
of Mobile PureWater System(TM)

Confirms Potential Use in Villages Throughout the Third World:
Company Plans Pilot Project by End of Summer

Keasbey, N.J. — June 9, 2008 -- Homeland Security Network, Inc. (Pink Sheets: HSYN), doing business as Global Ecology Corporation (GEC), today announced that it has successfully completed testing its Mobile PureWater System™ prototype, which uses GEC’s proprietary copper sulfate acid formula to purify water. The company said it is now ready to begin marketing the system throughout the world. Tens of thousands of villages and towns world wide suffer from inadequate drinking water supplies and are in desperate need of reliable sources of fresh water.

Global Ecology President Peter Ubaldi said, “Our Mobile PureWater System is designed specifically to facilitate the delivery of clean water to hard to reach places. Because of the systems self sufficient nature, its ease of use and deployment, we believe that the system will have significant impact in humanitarian and relief efforts and will be of particular interests to groups dedicated to these tasks. We have demonstrated the prototype to an influential group that has shown significant interest in this project.  The company will begin deploying units in pilot programs within the next ninety days. We believe that the company will be able to easily deliver a minimum of 1000 units per year beginning in 2009. This production number should generate revenue exceeding $50 million per year” concludes Ulbaldi.

The World Health Organization estimates that over 1.1 billion people do not have clean water to drink and of this number, 2 million children under the age of 5 die each year and 100’s of millions are severely sickened due to the lack of clean drinking water. Joseph Battiato, GEC’s Chairman states, “Creating fresh sources of drinking water is a major goal of the World Health Organization and the United Nations. The company believes  through its participation as a Private Partner to the United Nations that it will be able to make a number of additional presentations to various countries decision makers and that these organizations will be instrumental in facilitating the global use of the PureWater System.”

The company said it is preparing to begin production of the units and is planning for appropriate patent filings covering the system’s design. The company also stated its goal is to launch an initial pilot project in a third world country by the end of the summer.

The PureWater System is a state of the art water purification system that can be easily deployed in hard to reach locations and can service the daily water needs of a 5,000 person village. The PureWater System removes human caused and water born pollution as well as all harmful bacteria. The current mobile and stationary version of the system can comfortably process about 35,000 gallons day at a rate of 45 gallons of water per minute. It is the only mobile, high volume, pure water production system available today using the company’s chelated copper-based formula to purify water.

The PureWater System can be deployed in several ways. The initial application is a small wagon-like system that can be towed by small vehicles and delivered across the steepest terrains.  The unit does not require an external power source to function; it uses solar panels, a wind turbine, a diesel generator, or, if desired, an external energy source to supply its operational power.  The company will soon complete a unit that is totally self-sufficient, housed in a secure container that can be deployed in any region of the world and monitored by the companies’ proprietary GPS technology to determine operational efficiency and overall use.

Robert Elfstrom, GEC’s new vice president of field operations and creator of the technology acquired by GEC, said, “This is the first time that a water processing system has been designed and intended for mass production with this type of cost efficiency and mobility. Our system will enable villages and other settlements to have clean water year round using water from any available source.”

    About Global Ecology Corp.

Homeland Security Corporation, doing business as Global Ecology Corp. ("GEC""HSYN"), (www.geco.us) partners with emerging providers of unique, environmentally friendly and security-related technology. GEC is pursuing a strategy that enables partners and prospective targets to access public capital markets and take advantage of Global Ecology’s unique worldwide distribution capabilities.

In addition, GEC provides partner companies with an extensive network of relationships with key domestic and international government officials, large suppliers, and organizations dedicated to environmental restoration. Global Ecology believes it is positioning itself to have a major global impact on improving both water and soil environmental systems in the near future.

GEC provides ecological cleaning and remediation services to recover the usability of water and land around the globe. GEC has obtained agreements to aggregate environmental restoration technologies in the water and soil pollution treatment field. GEC holds these agreements because of its exclusive and non –exclusive distribution and deployment rights to major FDA/EPA-approved and patented technologies in the water treatment and soil remediation field.

GEC’s proprietary water treatment technologies are applicable to nearly any size body water in order to remove all types of harmful bacteria and algae pollution. Water treatment and processing is a $450 billion annual worldwide market, trailing only power generation and oil, and Global Ecology Corporation is on tract to acquire its market share.

Through its agreement with Huma-Clean, a Texas-based company, the company offers a soil pollution technology that deploys a process converting polluted sludge removed from lake bottoms and waste water facilities into high-grade top soil.

This soil product, labeled “Gourmet Soil”,
is used in a variety of applications to include farming, golf course construction and home gardening.

Each project will continually use GEC’s technology because even after cleaning up a lake or other area, the technology may in many cases be continually used to keep it clean. This means trailing income in each project for GEC beyond what has already been projected.

Water quality problems are at crisis proportions across the globe. It is estimated that less than three percent of the world’s water is currently potable or drinkable. Fresh water is already in short supply for more than 20 percent of the world’s population.
Over one billion people lack access to fresh water and 2.4 billion people do not have rudimentary sanitary systems.
It is also estimated that 6,000 children die each day from dehydration or diarrhea due to lack of access to clean water.

It also presents a security risk to the U.S. and other developed countries. The unequal distribution of potable water around the globe has historically created intense conflicts. Independent of the moral imperative to address this problem prior to its potentially devastating economic, humanitarian and health consequences, it also represents a security risk to the U.S. and other developed countries. The unequal distribution of potable water around the globe has historically created intense conflict. According to the Pacific Institutes Water Conflict Chronology, water supplies have been the cause of at least 31 conflicts around the world since 2000, including attempted terrorist attacks. GEC has also recognized that the accumulation of polluted sludge in the world’s lakes and rivers has become a major worldwide problem.

There are 261 river basins shared by two or more countries
and 13 shared by five or more countries.

Global Ecology's Water Purification System effectively controls the following:

  • All forms of bacteria, viruses (enveloped, such as anthrax, and non-enveloped), fungus, filamentous and planktonic algae and spores;
  • Midge and mosquito larvae development;
  • Pathogens including E. coli, vibro cholera, legionella pneumophila, salmonella, streptococcus fecalis, listeria monocytogenes, shigella sonnei, pseudomonas aeruginosa, staphylococces aureus and other organisms;
  • Odor in waste water and other water sources.
  • Applications include the following:
    • Human drinking water; Lakes, ponds and lagoons;
    • Dairy and fish farms; Field run-off water; Fruit and vegetable wash;
    • Sewage systems; Rice fields; Reservoirs; Irrigation supply systems

    Global Ecology Corporation Signs Letter of Intent With Florida Group

    KEASBEY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The recently renamed Homeland Security Network, Inc. (Pink Sheets:HSYN - News), doing business as Global Ecology Corporation (GEC), announced today that it signed a letter of intent with Brillyant, Inc., an environmental resource management company specializing in environmental restoration projects in the southeast U.S. and is headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

    Under the terms of the agreement, GEC and Brillyant will target and service large projects in the southeastern U.S. that require the combined eco-system technologies and project management skills offered by each company. GEC, along with its partner Huma-Clean, specialize in soil and water restoration using bio-remedial technologies to remove hazardous deposits of heavy metals, dangerous pesticides and other human-caused bacterial pollutants.

    Henrik Brixen, president of Brillyant said, “This technology is exactly what is needed for our Florida projects. This agreement gives us access to a total environmental solution not offered by any of our competitors. We can now remove the polluted sludge, process it to a high grade top soil for sale and treat the water on a continuous cycle to keep the sludge from re-forming.”

    Chief Technologist for Brylliant, Dr. Harold Gerdes, who has worked closely with local universities and laboratories in identifying technologies that can provide eco-friendly clean-up solutions, said, “It’s difficult to imagine a more perfect solution for the multitude of soil and water pollution clean-up needs that exist in Florida today. Prior to the discovery of this process, we would have had to locate a ‘dumping’ site 17 feet above sea level and bury the sludge. Now we can move it to a processing center and generate valuable topsoil that can be used to increase farm production locally. It simply doesn’t get more ‘green’ than this.”

    GEC continues to work on additional projects and synergistic relationships that enhance shareholder value. The company believes that the addition of Brillyant, Inc. and its vast network of environmental restoration opportunities in the region will continue to broaden GEC’s market base.

    GEC’s Chairman Joe Battiato, said, “This is another solid example of our business plan coming together in a way that will greatly expand our domestic opportunities. We were extremely fortunate to find a company like Brillyant and their high-caliber personnel.”

    GEC’s president and CEO Peter Ubaldi added, “The federal government recently allocated $1.8 billion for the Everglades Restoration Project under the 2007 Water Resources Development Act. This is only the tip of the iceberg for environmental restoration projects in the region. We expect that this new relationship with Brillyant will enable our companies to capture a very large percentage of these Everglade restoration contracts as well numerous others throughout the southeastern region.”  MORE
