Additional Sales
and Orders
LEXINGTON, Ky., June 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/
-- Wicklund Holding Company (OTC Pink Sheets: WKDH - News)
announced today that it has received three follow-on orders in excess
of its existing contracts related to three major Washington D.C.
area projects. The additional orders will add in excess of $300,000
in sales of Wicklund's rebar supports.
The new orders are part of the
factory-direct program just launched to meet the requirements structured
by Georgia-Pacific and BlueLinx for very large jobs where product
is delivered floor-by-floor rather than all at once. This helps
alleviate on-site storage issues and speeds delivery since the product
ships directly from Wicklund to the job site. "These additional
orders validate our efficient delivery systems enabling us to effectively
bid on and win large orders with job-specific requirements. Implementation
of this new factory-direct program helps to cement our important
relationship with Georgia-Pacific and our distributor, BlueLinx
Corp.," said James Turek, president of Wicklund Holding Company.
Wicklund also announced that BlueLinx
has recently released three more truckload orders of its rebar support
products. "We are very encouraged by the continued strong demand
for our products. The establishment of a national distribution network
through BlueLinx is a watershed accomplishment that we believe will
pay huge dividends in sales for Wicklund for the foreseeable future,"
said Turek.
