Extensive audience migration across and
within media categories is driving major shifts in advertising spending,
benefiting captive, auditable media vehicles. Traditional media vehicles
like radio, TV, newspapers and magazines continue to lose audience share
and advertising dollars to new media vehicles, which include the point-of-purchase
or wherever there might be a captive audience. The current media and traditional
displays (TV, LCD and Plasma screens) are stale and ubiquitous resulting
in significant ineffectiveness.

Merchandisers
On April 24, 2008, Provision announced that it has sold
an HL40D system to one of the nation's leading quick
service restaurant chains, which will begin testing applications
for the 3D holographic unit immediately. The quick service restaurant chain
will be exploring everything from digital signage to interactive kiosk order stations, drive-through
uses, and the effects from various "marketing
zones" within and around the store property.
Provision announced in May that is working with one of the world's
largest coffee franchises to test a variety of in-store digital signage
applications utilizing Provision's HL40D displays. Once successful,
Provision will install up to 109 systems in the service chain's greater
New York City area stores.
Testing will include projecting full color, high definition 3D videos
one meter in front of the display screen, through
the front store window and onto the sidewalk.
The system will also be tested as an indoor merchandiser and advertising
screen to promote up-selling, launch new products and leverage advertising
space in high traffic areas.
OTHER APPLICATIONS

Mar 26, 2008 — Provision Holding has partnered
with Daihatsu, owned by Toyota of Tokyo, to implement a 3D
holographic dashboard in Daihatsu’s latest
concept car. The car’s debut at the 40th Annual Tokyo Motor Show drew an
overwhelming response, and was the only vehicle at the show to utilize
3D holographic technology. |
Reaction was so strong among attendees that Provision has filed for
a new patent for this new product line, currently called model # HLXX.
Provision’s HLXX, a specially designed version of its HoloVision product,
is a combination of both a 2D flat screen and a 3D holographic screen that
serves as the car’s in-dash display. The traditional 2D flat screen acts
as a traditional dashboard, displaying gauges such as the speedometer and
tachometer.
The 3D holographic screen presents warnings and vehicle information
as easy-to-understand 3D images to facilitate driver awareness and recognition.
These features will be integrated as part of Daihatsu’s OPCS (Omni-directional
Pre-Crash Safety Support System) to create the next generation of
digital dashboards. Design plans and rigorous test plans are currently
being developed for Provision’s HLXX dashboard. Daihatsu plans to make
the technology available in vehicles by 2012.

Provision's floating image

a destination for shoppers looking for promotions, sweepstakes, or coupons
