Bioelectronics Corp. (Pink Sheets: BIEL)
|
 |
Dear Reader,
Today's featured company is at the leading edge of its technology. We've all heard the stories about sports stars that pull a muscle and the team trainer attaches a pulsating, apparatus on their calf to reduce the discomfort, stimulate the area with electronic beats, and lead the affected area into the healing process.
BioElectronics provides a similar product line, but for consumers. You don't need a professional trainer or have to belong to the NBA, or NFL, or the Professional Golf Association to ease your aches and pains. Like NASA bringing microwave technology to the masses, here is sports medicine now made available to everyday people.
We like the innovation at this company and the practicality of its products. BioElectronics is taking proven medical technologies and making them available to more people in convenient, cost-effective dermal patches. By applying advanced microelectronic technology, BioElectronics is dramatically reducing the size and the cost of some well-established medical treatments. Ever had an ache or a pain? Sure, we all have. Please take a look at BioElectronics.

BIEL products deliver pulsed electromagnetic frequency (PEMF) therapies to accelerate healing and a reduction of pain and swelling allows patients to return to normal activities much sooner. The BIEL ActiPatch is FDA approved and affordable. Instead of paying $100 for a single treatment at a clinic or a hospital, ActiPatch Therapy provides 10 days of treatment for $49.95.

A Pipeline of Proven Blockbuster Therapies
Pharmaceutical or electrotherapeutic research yields its most effective and efficient results when it employs existing technologies to create advanced product developments and breakthroughs. BIEL is in the business of putting proven medical technology into advanced miniaturized electronics to create convenient, efficacious, and cost-effective therapies.
Therapeutic needs of the 200 mil. annual tissue injuries in the U.S. (75 mil. surgical procedures, 87 oral surgeries, 45 mil. sprains and strains, and other accidents) is obvious. The specific disease states targeted for inclusion within the product spectrum include surgical and accidental wounds, chronic wounds,
sprains and strains, bone fractures, and arthritis pain.
BIEL’s products are a technical breakthrough at a market disruptive price point. The existing U.S. market for ActiPatch Therapy's suite of products exceeds $6.5 bil. annually and $20 bil. worldwide. BIEL’s advanced technology platform will effectively “change the way people heal”.

If you suffer from extreme pain in your heel, especially in the morning, then you most likely have plantar fasciitis.
Heel pain or plantar fasciitis is irritation, inflammation, and a sharp pain localized in the back of the arch of the foot.
The plantar fascia is tight band of elastic tissue that runs from the heel to the ball of the foot.
Its job is to protect the foot and support the arch.
This support allows the foot to be both an efficient shock absorber and a spring for acceleration.
ActiPatch is an ideal therapy for inflammatory foot and ankle conditions.
The New York School and The California School of Podiatry
are jointly conducting a double blind clinical study of plantar fasciitis, heel pain.

The ActiPatch Application
When the body receives an injury during surgery, or from trauma such as a sprain, there is little danger of infection. Nevertheless, the body’s response is to inflame the injured tissue to prevent infection. This inflammatory first phase of healing is evidenced by redness, heat, swelling and pain in the tissue. To reduce the swelling, relieve the pain and accelerate healing, ActiPatch induces the tissue to rapidly pass through, or by-pass, the inflammatory process and move to the repair phase. In chronic wounds and repetitive stress injuries such as plantar fasciitis (heel pain), carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, etc. the inflammatory phase of healing is stalled. ActiPatch Therapy breaks the cycle of inflammation and allows the injury to heal. Drug-free healing and pain relief is accomplished by shortening or breaking the inflammatory healing cycle.
