Editors Note:

Before we delve into some interesting developments with Smith & Wesson (OTCBB: SMWS) we wanted to inform you of an intriguing profile to be released after market on Monday.  We know that Monday is always a busy day for all of you so we’ll send it out after the market’s close. Believe us when we say this profile is about a company that turns people into BIG WINNERS

You’ll see what we mean on Monday. Now back to Smith & Wesson.

Like most other companies, the last few months have been unkind to the share price of Smith & Wesson despite the successes of the company, with the stock recently hitting a 52 week bottom of $0.67 on 10/19/01, begging the question of prospective investors, “Is now a good time to buy Smith & Wesson?  Is now the time to get back in?”

Maybe so.  The news released by Smith & Wesson signaled a strong rally for the stock and fueled an impressive 10% run-up, closing at $1.27, still well below the company’s 52 week high of $2.96.

Does today’s small break-out mean a return to better days for investors of this 150-year old company?  We encourage you to ask your broker for the answer to that question and to briefly review the news below which expands the venerable Smith & Wesson brand name in new, potentially lucrative, directions.
